We now have a rudimentary "achievements" system here on GatorAIDS to reward involvement with the community and to help get folks involved. The system right now is just starting out and we'll be tweaking and working on it constantly (much like the rest of GA right now), but we are excited to show it to you guys now. :)

These awards have to be manually given out by admins/mods. They are not automatic, so if you donate or get referrals you won't automatically get the award. You will have to "Request" it (more on that in a sec).

And now some FAQs:
How do I request an award?:
On the Awards page you will see a link to "Request Award", just fill it out and if you've met the requirements we will give it to you.


Can I request an award for someone else?:
There's an option for it, but please only use it if you know FOR SURE that the other person has met the requirements.


What's the best way to get a donation award?:
When you donate via PayPal PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR FORUM USERNAME. Donations are handled by me so I can associate donations with a special tag on your account that keeps track of your total donation.


Do I have to donate $XX all at once for an award?:
No. We keep track of each donation and add it to a cumulative total.


If I purchase a "No Ads" upgrade is that a donation?:
Yes. Purchasing a No Ads upgrade will add to your cumulative total.


If I purchase a copy of Nintendon't is that a donation?:
Yes. And to answer future questions unless there's a weird circumstance buying anything will net you that amount in donations.


How do I check my total donations?:
There is a counter on your profile when you view it. You cannot edit this number, only an Administrator can.


What is a "time sensitive" award?:
These are special awards that are only available for a limited time. If you want one make sure you get in on it while it's open!


If I missed a time sensitive award can I still get it?:
If you missed the deadline or window of time to participate in a special award then no, you cannot obtain them.


If I register a new account will I get my awards?:
WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO DO THIS TO US?!

Yours. The system lets you suggest one for someone else if you want, but we suggest only to do that if you're POSITIVE that they deserve the award.

I think PayPal has a currency converter. I'm pretty sure they do because I've taken commissions for furry stuff from people in Canada and their dollar isn't equal to the US.

We'll be reaching out to include more stuff soon. These all have to be added manually so we don't want to overdo it. :P

There are a few more I've made that I just haven't added yet, and then the "Time Sensitive" category should continue to increase as the community grows and goes on. :)

I know how draco got one of his i was one of the ones he reffered :P

Okay, I've added a few more achievements that aren't QUITE ready for launch yet so you haven't missed them (like the Newsletter and new contest achievement), but I added them just for the sake of adding them to look nice.

Additionally we've decided to be funny and added a new badge called "Exiled!" that features a peculiar-shaped letter of the alphabet. If you want to claim this award, when you submit a request please include a link to any valid post. :)

Not that I know of, but I noticed I had less posts when I came back here than when I first left.

We shut off post count in places like Reptile Porn Emporium and stuff when we re-opened, so that explains the loss of post counts. We also purged the Report forum so if you had any reports those "posts" were deducted.

edit: Krypto is a terminator sent back in time to stop me from turning MCCP around into a flourishing community that would have made me millions of dollars. I GET IT NOW.

It's the Adium duck, Krypto also has the Adium duck. Mine was just in a Terminator fashion, hehe. (Adium is a program for Macs)
