Simple question..

I'd rather be born in January 1970.. because my teenager years would be the 80s and IMO that would be the best decade to be a freakin' teenager! I mean.. not much people fat.. the music.. MTV playing actual music.. Ronald Reagan... what more the fuck would you ask?!!

Early 1970's for me as well, to be able to live through the better times of gaming and the growing development of mass media and youth culture. :)

Early 1930s.
The style. The music. The team of jewish-american soliders scalpin' Nazis. <3

Edit: I realize that they came around in the 1940s, but I chose 1930s because if I was born in the 40s, I'd have been a baby. I'd rather be a teen.

EditEdit: I also realize that they were fictional, but still. <3

Somewhere during the High Middle Ages, with awesome things like the Crusades and the droit du seigneur (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Droit_du_seigneur). Then again, they weren't really jolly times to alive, as were Tang Dynasty China or the Ottoman Empire, which I am fond of.

I thoroughly dislike the period between 1950 and 1990, for diverse reasons. I'd say I'm pretty happy to have been born in 1995, so I have lived through all the important cultural changes of the age (technology, mentality...) and I can say that I lived during the 2nd millenium, but if I had to choose another year, I'd say 1994. Then I wouldn't have gone through the educational reforms that are currently going on in my country (my year is the first year to undergo them), and there would've been many small changes in my life which I'm sure would have influenced it, mostly for the better.

I find it funny that now the 80's are seen as cool. Don't get me wrong, they were a great time to be a teen. It's just that they were also wildly ridiculous, from the music to the clothes to the hair to the politics to the tech. Do y'all realize my first home PC had a fucking cassette player for a drive? And I will kill the first person to say what's a cassette.

wats a cassette?

Having been born in the early 90's I am well aware of what a cassette is. I am also happy with the year I was born, if we only have the choice of years past.
But obviously I would love to have been born some awesome time in the future with flying cars and shit.

Nowadays:
Rebecca Black
British Royal Wedding Hats
Lady Gaga
... don't know about your countries, here we're almost neck-deep in their shit.
Old tech will always be ridiculous. Look at any 10 year old pc.

I'm pretty sure the 1983 and beyond (until 1998) computers already used floppy disks..

That's why I said 1983 because that was like the Apple ][ era.. which at the time floppy dicks were already popular.

I wish I was born in 1984. That way I would be fourteen when Pokemon Red/Blue came out in 1998.

If you were that old when they came out you might have grown out of them by now. Red was so much better as a 5 year old.

I don't think I'll ever grow out of Pokemon. I'm obsessed. Plus, at five, I probably would've lost the games.
