We've had this issue for a while. For some reason, and we don't know why, the CSS variable that governs the color of THAT text also does so for other parts of the forums. If we change it, it will make other text in other places unreadable. :(

The obvious solution is to lighten up the background image.
I'll just edit the skin tonight and give the unreadable stuff its own selector so that it's visible. I think right now it's dependent on the global colors set in the ACP which don't exactly work with our background, obviously...
