We just opened, now we'd like to hear your opinion on the GatorAIDS forums. What's good, what's bad, what can we fix/add?

I'm suprised no-one had noticed this before. Have you noticed how similar the colors are in the borders/forum screen? It makes reading sometimes really hard. I think it would be a better idea to make the writing a dark green (just an idea ;))

if your talking about the text like post time and post number then yes i would compleatly agree, the colors are a little similar and put some strain on the eyes at the wrong light

I agree with this, I had to highlight the text in the terms and conditions box when I registrered to be able to read what it said. Like some others said, the members list is also a little nutty.

There's a 10 post requirement to show up in the list. It's not broken, we just aren't that active yet. :)

Okay, I ran into this error once and so did Fiskers, but it happened at random and I couldn't duplicate the error. I will give goosey goose a call and see what's up.

I did notice that as well, this skin ("GatorAIDS Classic") is an edited version of a skin we got from a provider, there are still some kinks like some of the less-important text on the page being hard to read. I will fix this soon.

Good idea with the computer forum, I will add those. As for COPPA we follow international laws but we just don't plaster it all over the place since our demographic isn't the same as Club Penguin.

We don't have it peppered into the rules (because we aren't exactly child-oriented) but because GatorAIDS is hosted in the United States we are obligated to follow national and international laws regarding child safety on the Internet, so we do have to ban accounts here belonging to users under 13.

Nobody here really cares about what happens outside of these forums and I'd like to try and keep it that way. Just don't get touchy with anybody's account and we won't have any problems.

Do not bring outside drama to these forums. Nobody here cares if Dracophile, Captain Fiskers, or another moderator said or did something to you on another website. Keep it there and do not use these forums as a place to bother them about whatever nonsense needs fixing. You will end up banned.

It's not exactly my jurisdiction, but I believe if you post in red that the quote contains excessive swearing, you should be alright, so long as you aren't the person saying it and it's just a quote.

The thread needs to have few amount of users to vote the thread so it could appear. Your vote make the thread rating goes up or down depending on your rating. The rating besides the thread name is the average.

Example:
A voted: 5
B voted: 1
C voted: 3
Therefore, the thread average of rating is 3.

Scroll down all the way down to the bottom, you'll see "GatorAIDS Classic", click it, and press "Default Style", and it's fixed, although you will have a crappier theme, at-least it's fixed.

Well you two may not have been having the error but I logged 68 "Contact Us" reports filed for the error, that's basically half the userbase here encountering it on a regular basis.

We were also EXTREMELY limited in what we could choose for skins because we had to find something compatible with this version of vBulletin. GA is running on the latest version that just came out, so people haven't really had time to make some awesome skins yet - but this gator green scheme looks nice. :3

this is just a barebones skin, it's not fully customized for the gatoraids forums, hence there is no background on this skin and no logo

there are few skins that are only compatible with vBulletin 3.8.2 (the version we're running at)

I've already gotten rid of the Art forum for now because nobody used it. I don't think we have a pressing need for a R&T forum anyways. This isn't MCCP and I'd rather not end up making GA look like a mirror of it.
