Yes, yes, ladies and gentlemen boys and girls I've helped assemble a brand new website for those of you who enjoyed some of the humor of RFSHQ or just video game culture in general. GatorAIDS is a re-envisioning of sorts of RFSHQ, but managed completely differently -- so please let's not treat it like that place. We are here to enjoy and lampoon video games (and other multimedia/culture if our talented writers deem it necessary), not to perpetuate false images of internet tough guys or become a community that strives to be like Something Awful but doesn't quite pull it off.
I've been writing about video games off and on for almost 15 years believe it or not. My work has led me to publish games under my name, be interviewed by Game Informer Magazine, be considered for a place at Something Awful (although I ultimately did not get it), get a job with Miniclip, and create a potential series agreement with 1UP.com (which fell through for problems on both sides). The point is, this is what I like to do. The content on GatorAIDS is sincere, it is coming from folks who enjoy what they do, so we do it for free and for your enjoyment.
The website is still being worked on as I speak, but when it launches I'm pretty sure you'll be notified. The forums are open now, though, to let those who are interested come here and start to get settled in rather than blasting you all with a website and saying "HERE GO!" We will have some great articles and content on the site soon, we are currently working with TrackMill Media (http://www.trackmill.com) to get RFSHQ's old content management system completely beefed up and fitted for use on this brand new website.
Since you're here though, we all advise you take a look at the rules (http://forums.gatoraids.com/showthread.php?t=6) (duh), and if you'd like to meet the staff or learn about other stuff on the forums you can visit the Feedback Forum (http://forums.gatoraids.com/forumdisplay.php?f=12).
