If he can't, there could be an xat, but it should be really up to Draco and his staff to decide if there would be an official chatbox.

Like Mccp has TIS, you think someone would make a XAT and it would become extremely popular. I guess it doesn't matter.

A xat is a chat. Like, TheImportantSnakes is a xat chat. They just call them Xats because a company or something named them that way.

It would be a really good idea, but most people would still use TIS. If one is made, then it should be by a mod/admin. If normal forumers make there own, then it probably won't be as successful.

There are plenty of mods that can easily bridge to an IRC server like freenode. Not only that but there are a number of free browser-based IRC clients such as PJIRC and Mibbit that you can simply copy and paste onto a webpage. It's actually very simple.
