Two and a half million people in Australia are carers of some kind, and 10-year-old Jak Billing is one of the younger ones, looking after his father who's fighting for his life.
Jak's father, Darryn, is slowly losing a battle with Motor Neurone Disease. After being diagnosed twelve months ago, he's already lost the use of his left arm.
Today, Darryn depends on Jak for almost everything.

That is a shame.
One of my friends is a carer for his mom because she has epilepsy. The doctors think she will die within a few years.

There are a lot of young carers in the UK, but about 65% of them go to special clubs, who send out adults to look after the parents while the child or children stay at the club and have fun and do stuff that most mums would do with their children. They bake, play games and talk with other carers. They also go on trips, to theme parks and places.
I wanna go to one of the clubs, but I'm not a carer. :(
The clubs look so cool.

Is all this to learn how to care and is it free?
I hate it when little kids look after their parents, the government should hire carers to do that job, that kid must miss out on so many oppurtunities to look after his dad.

It's a nice thing for children to look after their parents, if they hire carers then the children will think there's nothing they can do to help.

And now for my serious answer:
Woah, that kid really does do a lot for his father. Honestly it's despicable that the Government doesn't do anything about it, I mean a child is looking after his dad, somebody should do something.

It's to learn how to care, for the older children, and to have fun for all the young carers.
And ofc it's fucking free, it'd be extremely sad if it wasn't.
Man, I feel sorry for the father who is battling throguh that though disease.
And I hope they give that kid a medal, well, for one not every kid could do what he's doing for his father.
