I think it is fine if you do just put it in 'just games' because I wouldn't call Spyro 'retro'. You could put it in the Playstation Nation forums if you do just want to talk about the old games.

As Cool Guy has already said, a thread is already open about Spyro. But just for future reference, you can open discussions for any video game as long as it's classified correctly - this IS a video game based website, afterall.

I'd put it in "Just Games". If you're ever unsure just post it there and if needed a mod can always move it.
