Forums exploded when you opened them but there's no website here, nobody is coming back around. :(

I can agree on this.
More forumers would be cool.
Free games always attract peoples.
That is, he 1st need to have a will to make one

Goose is working on the article submission system right now.

And I have a quick update for you all straight from the feathery man himself. Later this week he and I are going to burn the midnight oil and test out the content submissions system for bugs and errors and whatnot. I mentioned earlier that the system is being transplanted from RFSHQ, so we're going to complete the website design, plug in the system to our page formatting, and start seeing what's working and what isn't.

Give us until June in a best case (and probable) scenario.

I can't wait until there are some updates on the site. People are leaving the forums because there is nothing to talk about.

Can't wait for the articles too.

Yep, I notice that. When I am online on my ''usual time'' I am only one here.
It's really depressing but I come back later.
This needs some kind of thing which people will find attracting .

Well I think the forum is active for it's first month, you can't expect us to have the active spirit of a forum with 60,000 members already. Really what we need is a competition.

People will not post which will reduce forum activity (because they're playing the arcade the whole time), that will happen 100%.

I am not quiet sure about it.
Take miniclip forums by example.
There are lots of games but still forums is active every day.
If a site could have games whit score, people could share them here on forums

But after all, if game would be long without scores, that would happen like you said

I think we just gotta have patience and do our best to contribute to the commuity, there might not be many members now, but I think it will spark off in the summer. And those who joined in Apr/May 2009 will be legendary here in a few years

We need more folks like AEnima who are willing to "invest" so to speak and get things rolling. There's already a foundation of users and discussions laid out - and I'm thinking about creating and posting a mock article just to tide folks over for now until we get that script set up.

I agree, I think this place will get more and more people during the summer. Just wait and see.

It's "boring" right now because like I've echoed before here, myself and those involved with developing GatorAIDS thought that opening the community and letting somewhat of an audience "build" will have a better outcome when Launch Day comes than simply opening everything all at once.

We do apologize for the lack of "things to do and/or read or appropriate" but come this summer, June specifically, we're going to start unveiling content (along with a campaign to start promoting the website) which will give users something to talk about, and once things get rolling we will be able to gauge where we want to steer the website. I piloted RFSHQ for long enough to know exactly what's going to work and what's going to kill the website and community. :P

But seriously, I can't wait until the actual site is done.

Music to my ears. Heavy Metal, actually. I hope it will turn out good, because watching a new community grow is something I want to be a part of.

And one of your previous posts made a nice addition to my sig :P

Nice
just don't kill this site, ok
I agree, once when site is made, more people will come to talk about it + during summer you have more free time

I don't think the audience will "build" any further. Summer should be great though.

I'm pretty sure you're wrong about that. Most people here are either Draco's friends or people from MCCP, and since the actual site isn't even open yet, we haven't had a chance to get any more ... audience people.

I agree whit you.
We have like 150+ members without site finished.
Audience can build future...they can tell us to their friends and such
I found out about this from my dear ol' mate John

Posting just as an update, we had a little bit of a setback as one of the developers of our content system has been ill for a while - and doc's orders was to not be as busy. He is starting to feel a little better, hopefully we won't be too late on our arrival.
