Avatars are small images below your name, signatures is an image under your post

Go to the User CP (Beside FAQ), after that click Edit Avatar, choose a file, upload it, you're done.

Be sure the image are fine for usage on the forums, it must be/lower than 30KiB and the dimensions should be/be lower than 150x150 pixels.

Be sure you have put on your signature, otherwise it won't work.
If you did put , be sure the image is fine for usage on the forums, it must be/lower than 50KiB and the dimensions should be/be lower than 500x100 pixels.

Click the 3rd to the last button under the thread title while you're posting a new thread/post, it will ask for a link of the image, paste the link of the image, the link will have tags so you don't have to worry putting [IMG] tags.
