I'm glad I've never been that angry.

But I came within a couple feet of it once, when my parents made me cancel almost all the plans I'd already put into motion for a trip to A-kon. I was very proud of myself for setting everything up with my own credit card, getting friends and their money together, the works. I was 19, perfectly able to travel with friends without supervision, and having my hard work dashed away by parents who didn't care about my interests sent me over the edge and I lost it. I filled my mother's voicemail with incoherent screaming that day. I was one of the cleanest, most in-line kids in town, and my parents treated my unprovoked venture into responsibility like that?

When real anger gets a hold of you, when your very core has been violated, you become an animal. Primal rage just takes over, even for the most levelheaded and grounded of persons, like myself. It's a phenomenon I'm glad I've only experienced a couple of times in my life.

I can understand why the kid in the video went so insane over his WoW account being cancelled. That was probably his one passion, and he had invested time, money, and a second life in this game. I'm sure I would just lose it if my parents took away my favorite passion of all time, too.

Although, it is really sad that a kid's major passion is WoW. That's like your one passion being Rock Band.
