Shoe of all Cosmos

I think it's funny that movies will depict the future as being filled with all kinds of gadgets meant to make life easier, like automatic doors and flying cars. It's most apparent in movies that aren't quite new. People have always seemed to envision the future as a simple upgrade of technology, rather than an evolution of the quality of life itself, which is what it's actually become. The world is a network of information now, a world where you can know virtually anything instantly as it happens. Hollywood didn't predict that at all.
What I mean is, the way the future is arriving has surprised me. Everything is connected now. The most recent example is, the latest DSi update allows you to upload pictures straight to Facebook. You can twitter from all kinds of devices. You can show where you are with an iPhone. That is what the future is, and not the inside-the-box Hollywood flying cars.
Bottom line, the future is an evolution of how we live life, and not just gadget upgrades, and I'm amused at all the stupid movies that show the latter.
